More Johnny Lightning Speed Results At Bottom Of The Page
Can anyone help me with the name of an old western / gunfighter song?
It is about two outlaws (enemies) and one sees the other get shot and then saves him by nursing him, then once he is on his way, they make a silent pact that they won't fight each other any more, but then one day years down the track when one of them is doing a bank robbery, the other bloke (Johnny I think) pulls his gun "with lightning speed" and then when he sees that it is the bloke that saved him, he laughs and drops his gun, but the town opens up fire on him anyway and he dies. The other bloke (singing) says he knows there was a ray of good in "Johnny" or whatever his name was.
I am after the name of the song and artist, or a link to lyrics for it.
Thanks
Hi, I worked it out, it was Lorne Greene "Ringo" (nothing like Johnny lol)
GOD! I know the song but can't think of who did it. 2 good choices are Marty Robbins and Frankie Laine. I'd look up their lyrics. If I find it or think of who it is, I'll edit an answer in.
